Meghan Simon, Ma, lmft
Meghan Simon is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, with a MA from Alliant International University and a Bachelors in Psychology from California State University, San Marcos. Meghan has dedicated the past 6 years to providing mental health services to her community of San Diego. Through her work at Rady Children’s Outpatient Psychiatry and Douglas Young Youth and Family Services she has built her expertise in supporting families, children and adolescents to heal and thrive past difficult life events, nurture attachment, and trauma. In her practice Meghan often draws on the holistic and natural healing power of play. As a trained EMDR therapist Meghan is able to offer a unique and effective therapy for individuals of all ages to harness a deep sense of healing, enhance relationships, source a greater sense of self-compassion, adaptive coping and balance in their daily lives. Meghan is additionally an AIM-HI certified therapist, a new therapy designed at UCSD to support families in building a stronger understanding of their child's challenging behaviors and to foster supportive interactions between parent and child. Outside of the therapy room you can typically find Meghan swimming at her favorite beaches, cooking and gardening with her family or climbing across the southwest.
