Hello, I'm Morgan. I've always been deeply intrigued by the intricate dynamics of relationships. I firmly believe that the quality of our relationships profoundly influences our overall happiness, success, and life satisfaction. My strong advocacy for integrative mental health and wellness stems from my personal experience of the profound mind-body connection. Prior to my career as a therapist, I was a certified yoga instructor and health coach, which allows me to approach relationship growth and transformation from a holistic perspective.

As an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in couples and relationships, my educational journey includes an undergraduate degree in Psychology and Communication from the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). I furthered my education with a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology at National University and have been dedicated to providing therapy to couples, adults and adolescents ever since. I have received extensive training in relationship therapy, including the Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy (EFTCT) Externship, EFCT and the Sexual Cycle, as well as Gottman Level One and Gottman Level Two.

I firmly believe that honest self-examination, radical acceptance, and personal growth are accessible to all through therapy. My aim is to make therapy approachable and welcoming for those embarking on this transformative journey. My therapeutic approach is deeply person-centered, emphasizing the tremendous healing potential found in a genuine, non-judgmental, and empathetic therapeutic relationship. I advocate for a collaborative, individualized, strengths-based therapy approach that empowers clients to discover their own answers within a nurturing therapeutic environment. Authenticity, humor, and lightheartedness are encouraged to create a warm space for self-exploration and growth.

Throughout my clinical work, I've focused extensively on relationship dynamics and attachment issues, both with couples and individuals. My specialization lies in helping clients break free from maladaptive relationship patterns while enhancing communication and connection. I skillfully blend Emotionally Focused Therapy and The Gottman Method for Couples Therapy to guide couples in navigating conflicts by fostering emotional intimacy, friendship, closeness, and understanding.

I've had the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients in various settings, including outpatient treatment centers, non-profit organizations, schools, and private practice. My commitment to providing the highest quality of care is unwavering, and I consistently apply evidence-based therapies to benefit my clients.

Outside of my passion for therapy, I find joy in practicing yoga, staying active, taking long walks by the water, listening to country music, enjoying audiobooks and podcasts, spending time with friends, and nurturing my connection with my partner. My work is supervised by Tara Gehler, LMFT#48833.
